Air to water heat pumps present a flexible and cost effective alternative to a fossil fuel boilers. In other words, they are a reliable, energy efficient, low cost heating system for your home. Generally, many of these pumps can be connected to all types of low-temperature heat emitters. These include underfloor heating, low temperature radiators, fan coil units and heat pump convectors. As a result, you can benefit from optimum comfort and lower energy costs all year round!

So, how do they work? Well, heat pump systems extract heat from the air outside. Then, using a closed loop containing a liquid refrigerant, a thermodynamic cycle is created through evaporation, condensation, compression and expansion. This then pumps heat from a lower to a higher temperature level. From there, the heat is then transferred to your homes warm water distribution system via a heat exchanger.
